Last night I helped Mary dress up as Angelina Jolie for Halloween partying in Orlando. She looked great but the Billy Bob dragon tattoo I did on her arm in permanent marker really made the ensemble. If I were dressing up this year I would be Little Edie Beale from Grey Gardens.
I've always liked dressing up as obscure characters for Halloween, usually too obscure for anyone but me to know who I am supposed to be.
One year it was a Robert Palmer video girl:
The girl from Fatal Attraction:
A few years ago I wore a blonde wig and an Asian dress and said I was Mata Hari.
Besides Little Edie, I always thought a Pamela Anderson or Rollergirl from Boogie Nights would be fun. And probably easier to recognize.

First entry composed with Justin in my lap.
I was disappointed Jeffrey won Project Runway but I could easily see why.
I've got an idea for a book to write and a new blog. If only I had time...
The weather has finally gotten cooler.

Project Runway Comments
The final fashion show is this week and I am so pleased they chose four designers this time. And what a great selection of individual styles they each bring to the table. I have to say I have no idea who will win, but at this point it doesn't matter that much--I just want to see what they have created!
Uli
Her dress was actually my favorite on the very first episode but I wanted to see something different after that, and she didn't always deliver. But I think there's a good chance she'll come up with an incredible collection.
Michael
He was my pick for a long time, for his personality as well as his clothes. Yet he is the only one of the four that I think probably will not win. He seems to end up either really on or really off with his designs. And the gold sequins looked scary.
Laura
I love this woman: sophisticated, confident, artsy, funny, and pregnant with her sixth baby! I think her collection is going to be exquisite. She gets some criticism for an "older" aesthetic but I don't think there's anything wrong with being elegant.
Jeffrey
He is the tortured artist of the bunch and often quite annoying. The last show hinted that he might not get to show his final designs due to a technicality but I highly doubt the producers would allow that to happen. I find the whole punk thing a bit tired but there is a chance he could show some more things like below, which the judges hated but I absolutely fell in love with. This dress redeemed Jeffrey in my eyes:

I'm reading an astoundingly great book called The Botany of Desire: A Plant's-eye View of the World. It's really blowing my mind...
New cute kid pictures up...

If you fly with kids, you know that the safety
experts all urge parents to bring an “FAA-
certified child restraint” for small children.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA),
the American Academy of Pediatrics, the
National Transportation Safety Board, and
the airlines know that the standard seat
belt isn’t enough to provide young travelers
the same level of safety as adults have.
For years, this meant parents needed to
haul an awkward, heavy car seat – never
intended to be portable – through crowded
airports, security portals, and narrow airplane aisles.
Now, there’s a better way.

I always seem to come across people who share this day, October 11th, as their birthday, including my sister Christi. So Happy Birthday to her, Andy F, Daniel, Jon, Tim, Dale, and everyone else born on this most auspicious day.

Note: Since my sister is off traveling, I now have no friends in Netflix. If you use Netflix and want to be my friend, please add me. I'm lonely and I want to spy on your queue.
