I realized I haven't posted new pictures of the boys lately so I took a few this morning.
It seems that Justin has my body and Andy's face and Merritt has it the other way around. They are really good about having their photos taken. My little models. My darling subject matters.

Tomorrow night begins my guiltiest pleasure of watching America's Next Top Model. This season will be different...because along with my buddy Stefanie I'm blogging about it. If I seem scarce here, come see me at The Pretty Gene for the next few months.

Right now I'm on Celexa but I have the option of switching to Lexapro for less side effects. Weight gain might become a concern...since starting Celexa I am not eating as much but I've gained a few pounds.
Ways the pills have affected me that I was not expecting:
not as withdrawn from the kids
not as paranoid to be alone
not as affected by lack of sleep
not as tidy and organized
not as talkative
And the other night I actually pulled out my supplies and started a few paintings. This may have been inspired by joining the Art League, or maybe I really needed antidepressants that badly.
I bought us four tickets for Baby Loves Disco in Orlando. Sounds like a good time and I haven't been to a dance club in like a century or so. And it's way cheaper than Disney!

Good news, I joined the Flagler County Art League. It should be fun to go to some gatherings, enter some shows, get my art back out there a bit.
Merritt is out of his crib and into a toddler bed. Another huge change. He's taking it pretty well but not sleeping nearly as much, so he's sleep deprived and subsequently wired and/or irritable. I'm handling these things so much better now.
More good news, there will be a new season of Project Runway! My favorite show!
Most likely the cutest phase ever that babies/toddlers go through is the dancing phase, and Justin is there right now. Anytime he hears music, even someone singing a song, he will start getting down. He's really got the moves.

I finally gave in and went on antidepressants last Friday. I felt better almost immediately. I've been depressed way too long, probably since Justin was born. I knew I needed to do it, knew I had to wait until I was finished breastfeeding, but did not finally make the move until I hit rock bottom. Now it's like I'm seeing my children for the first time. My nerves aren't so raw and my temper is under control. My doctor says I'll stay on the pills for six months then wean myself off. I could see taking them forever, I just feel like a different person, a person that I like better.
I'm also going to join a gym with child care so I can leave the boys and work out a few times a week.
After Merritt's birthday Andy and his dad are going to tear up the floor in our bedroom and put down the first batch of laminate. While they are doing that I am going to finally paint our bedroom that beautiful deep red. Eventually we'll get some new furniture and it will be a new room.
